Terra State Community College PTA Program Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program at Terra State Community College in Fremont, Ohio, offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree designed to prepare students for a rewarding career helping patients regain mobility and manage pain under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. The program consists of six consecutive semesters and is known for its rigorous curriculum that blends classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience. Each cohort is small—capped at 15 students—which allows for personalized attention from faculty.
Students complete both general education and specialized PTA courses on campus; technical courses are not offered online. Clinical practicums require full-time participation, sometimes necessitating travel up to an hour from campus.
